The 2007 Neighbors in Need campaign, sponsored by the Justice and Witness Mission of the UCC begins this week. Whether it is the ecological disaster of a town in Tennessee deemed a “dumping ground”, or stories of neighbors devastated by the hurricane on the Gulf Coast, or neighbors who continue to suffer under debt that cripples development of countries with extreme poverty, returning land to Native Americans, we will be asked to do the following: Ponder the Scriptures and pray for the Neighbors in Need, and give generously to the 2007 Neighbors in Need campaign, that will seek to address the injustices experienced by these neighbors.
