As many church members have already heard, John’s health continues to improve, and he and Barbara have been deeply touched by the prayers and support they have received from people around the world.
We are indeed blessed to be part of an international, ecumenical denomination, the United Church of Christ, which is an integral part of the caring network surrounding Barbara and John.
Barbara writes: “Representatives from the Church of North India (an ecumenical network of six Protestant denominations and our UCC/Disciples Global Ministries counterpart) came in to sing and pray with John this afternoon–the bishop of Calcutta and two staff from the Church of North India office. It was very touching and lifted John’s spirits.”
