Sermon by: Rev. Linda Carder is a graduate of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Md., the University of Maryland and Wesley Theological Seminary. Before becoming a minister, she was an art teacher. Upon graduation from seminary, she served as the Associate for Program Development , Chesapeake and Potomac Associations of the Central Atlantic Conference of the UCC. She has also served as the Associate Minister at Westmoreland Congregational UCC in Bethesda Maryland, Interim Minister at Rock Spring Congregational UCC in Arlington, Virginia, Associate Conference Minister in the Iowa Conference of the UCC, and Associate Minister at Christ Congregation UCC in Silver Spring Maryland. She retired in 2004 from the later. Rev. Carder has written church school curriculum, developed religion and the arts programs as well as youth and camping programs. She has one daughter and two grandchildren.
