Worship Leader: Ruth Shinn, member ’73, formerly led a unit in the US Department of Labor, analyzing proposed legislation for its impact on women’s opportunities for employment and training. Earlier she worked with University-based units of the YWCA on racial and economic justice issues. Much earlier spent three years teaching English to Turkish students in Uskudar, Istanbul, where she swam across the Bosphorus. Gradute of Heidelberg University (Ohio), Yale Divinity School, and American University (DC).
Guest Soloist: Terry Johns has worked with every professional singing ensemble in the city and is heard as soloist frequently in sacred and secular roles. He is a dedicated performer, composer and teacher with special emphasis on teaching young children to sing.
